The Sun Front Page – Our Only Hope: Design & Illustration
The reason I’ve put this particular piece of work on here is because I was, and still am, extremely proud of it. I’ve done hundreds of iconic Sun front pages in the many years I worked there, but this stood out above them all. It gained international criticism both positively and negatively, but regardless, it got recognition around the world. The brief I had was to create an image of David Cameron in the same style of Shepard Fairey’s Obama that came to represent his 2008 presidential campaign. But I had five hours to complete the artwork. I created this using a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator and managed to emulate the technique and colours he used.
