Daily Express: Website Redesign
One major project that I led whilst at N&S was to redesign The Daily Express website. The current version of the site was not mobile friendly and so we started the redesign with a mobile-first approach. The brand has a high density of images and text, and, as a result, this needed to be reflected in the design and layout. A major criteria was to increase traffic and lower the bounce rate. This meant making it easy and ‘natural’ for the user to flow through the content organically. Integrating Social Media was also a major part of the brief. I was Head of UX & UI on the project. As a result of the redesign, traffic increased by 250% within the first year.
